Abstract

Climate change brings global challenge. The European Union has been focal in transforming its political doctrine into hard-law standards legal system to tackle climate change. A program namely "European Green Deal" promotes sustainable development in some areas including energy, waste, transport, construction and electronic equipment sectors. European Green Deal can be implemented using an instrument called “Circular Economy" which interferes with the economic freedoms of both entrepreneurs and consumers.  This paper presents the analysis of selected regulations related to "European Green Deal".  These regulations were explored upon the context of private law that is traditionally less affected by environmental legislation.  A dogmatic-legal analysis was used in exploring the currently binding regulations to gain better comprehension of the issue, while earlier regulations were analyzed using the historical-legal method. The use of these methods allowed setting the direction of the new law. Thorough review was performed on both national and international literature on business law, environmental law and administrative law.
